1. I just started/restarted the game, what now?
If you just started, please take it easy getting to know your class and the combat system while doing the main quest! I also recommend checking 2b. Helpful basics while getting used to the game.
The first goal you can aim for is getting to max level (currently 100), which the main quest will get you to easily. You will out-level the main quest at some point but it’s not recommended to skip it (as in use the “Skip quest” button in Quest window, as the rewards are good in the long term. Main quest is also not affected by the FTG system, so you can pick it back up anytime during gear farming.
*Note that side quests do not give EXP or FTG, so if you want to read these, you should probably do them at the same time as the main quest.
You will be able to do first specialization at level 15, second specialization at level 45, and Awakening at level 90, completing your class’ skillset. You can get quests for specialization from these prompts, or the Remote tab of your Quest window.

The Main Quest is so long, what do I get from it?
*The information below doesn’t apply to Vandar, his Main Quest is different with only 8 chapters. He will receive these same rewards if you clear Chapter 1-7.
If your character hasn’t cleared them, clearing Chapter 4 to 18 will get you a full Kilos armor set with enhancement and evolution items to get it fully upgraded. While it’s been outclassed by the Ancient set, Kilos still has use in Frozen World. The set has been quite effectively phased out and the Main Quest is now the only place you can not just obtain it, but complete it for free (outside the occasional givesway).
Clearing Chapter 10 to 14 in particular will get you a set of Ancient weapons and enhancement items to get them to +20. This is of higher priority than the Kilos set as it’s more relevant outside Frozen World.
As the Main Quest rewards titles and small materials that will benefit you in the long run, it’s recommended to leave it to clear in your spare time rather than hit “Skip quest” in the Quest window. You can speed through the dialogues by holding Spacebar though.
The Beginner Guide
After hitting max level, what you can do next is the Beginner Guide. Clicking on this prompt will take you to the Guide.

The Beginner Guide is meant to familiarize you with core features of the game through a series of tasks, rewarding you with equipment materials and other useful items. Completing the Novice Graduation mission at least once is also required to unlock trading features like sending mails and using the Trading House on the respective character.
As of the latest revision in April 2026, the Beginner’s Guide is the source for quite a lot of free equipment that will get a character to NSTG Acscension-3 at the very least. See the checklist for what to do.
