5. Equipment systems
All your equipped items/gear can be seen in the Character window. Press P or click it in the menu.

Take note of your class’s main stat, it will help orient gearing.

The main stat of your class is one stat between STR / INT / AGI that has the largest multiplier on attack power. For example, the Sniper class has AGI as her main stat, so having 10000 AGI would result in higher attack power than 10000 STR for her.
The elemental attack of your class is decided by the skills your class uses rather than this main stat display. See 2b4. Stats (and damage) for dummies for more help on what stats are and what you should prioritize.
From LV1 to LV98, all kinds of gear (armor, accessories, plates, jades) drop from boss kills and in mystery chests on the dungeon clear screen. You can pretty much use anything appropriate for your character level and main stat.
Once you hit max at LV99, as mentioned, the Beginner Guide gives you equipment more appropriate for the difficulty curve ahead. The systems also change slightly for Heraldries and Dragon Jades at max level, and I will cover these systems below.
